Week 9 of 12 Week 9 study title: Beyond Comparison
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me..."
Galatians 2:20
Coffee Moment

Resist the urge to compare your beverage with someone else's, and enjoy a sip.

Reflection

Social media has taught us to compare ourselves to others, which encourages us to appear perfect, yet we are deeply aware of our flaws. Comparison distracts us from who we are in Christ, shifting our focus from grace to performance. God is faithfully at work in us and has all the time he needs to make us into Christ's image. Christ defines your value, and you do not need to compete with others or pretend to be something else.

Discussion Questions
  • How does comparison affect you?
  • Where does your worth originate?
Prayer

Lord, show us just how much you love us.

Personal Practice

Make a list of things you are grateful for.
